Answers To Your Queries About Farm-Raised Beef

In short, yes. The beef you get from factory-raised cows grows on inorganic feed and hormone injections for quicker growth. This results in low-quality meat from the slaughtered animals. Whereas farms-raised cows eat grass and other natural food, resulting in meat with higher nutritional value including vitamins, iron, and omega-3 fats.

We deliver quality beef everywhere in the state of Illinois. So, that’s a good question. We work with reputed delivery companies like USPS, FedEx, and UPS for timely delivery. Additionally, all meat is stored in an insulated box with dry ice, and or Ice packs. For longer deliveries, we also use temperature monitoring devices to guarantee the meat is stored in the right conditions throughout.
The process is mostly similar but it requires less heat. Farm-raised beef has a lower amount of fat. So, it cooks around 30% quicker than its store-bought variant. This means you’ll need to cook at a lower temperature or take it off in less time. For instance, you can start steaks on medium and switch to low for a good cook.
It’s in the word ‘natural’. The feed that the cow gets is what it should get. There are no hormones, animal supplements, or growth-inducers involved. The only medicine one receives is what’s recommended by a veterinarian on a need basis.
Yes! There are two ways to buy beef from us. You can either buy products individually or invest in regular bundle boxes and subscriptions. The latter offers more meat for less for our recurring customers.

It’s in their diet. Factory cows eat grains like corn and are stuffed with hormones and other unnatural chemicals. This means more marbling with an unnatural candied taste. Whereas, farms-raised cows feed mostly on grass and forage; with small amounts of grain when necessary. So, you get a lower amount of marbling and a natural juicy taste.

Depends on your usage. Fresh raw beef can last 2-3 days in your fridge, and up to 12 months in your freezer. However, ground beef may last only 4 months. So, if you’ve bought raw beef, it would last longer. But it’s always best to consume meat fresh for better health.
There are different methods for this. An easy method is to use a mallet and a plastic bag. Put salted meat in the bag, and pound it. Of course, it does take some effort. But it gets the job done. Otherwise, you can use a tenderizing tool to do it quickly. If you still have questions, give us a call and we’ll explain everything.
