Frequently asked questions:

Can I work with both BookBaby and Kindle Direct Publishing Select? And can BookBaby manage my KDP eBook conversion?

Yes! We’ve added an “Amazon KDP Select Publishing” option to your BookBaby Official distribution options. Enjoy great Kindle book promotion and sales ideas PLUS 50+ additional eBook retail sales opportunities.

How it works:

  1. Select eBook Distribution at sign up. Choose the Kindle Select + BookBaby Official eBook distribution in your BookBaby Official account Project Center.
  2. Your eBook will be available exclusively on Amazon for the first 90 days, allowing you to use promotional tools to boost sales. Choose either Free eBook Promotion, so your readers can get your eBook free for a limited time, or Kindle Countdown Deals, where you can discount your book for a limited time while still earning royalties up to 70% on sales.
  3. Your eBook is in the Kindle Select program in 90-day increments. You can opt out of the program in your BookBaby Official account Project Center at any time, and your eBook will be removed from Kindle Select before the next 90-day cycle.
  4. Once you opt out of KDP Select on Amazon, your eBook is delivered to our 60+ store network – including Amazon Kindle.

Can BookBaby Official ensure listings with these retailers?

No, inclusion in our print-on-demand program only ensures that the title is available to these outlets. Ultimately, it is up to individual retailers and their internal criteria whether they will carry a specific title on their site or in their stores.
