Safety & Liability Disclaimer

By contracting with Lombard Appliance Repair, LLC for appliance repair services, you (the “Customer”) agree to adhere to the following General Terms and Conditions of Service. Allowing our technician to commence service constitutes acceptance of all terms and conditions detailed herein.

Non-Refundable Diagnostic Fee

We charge a Diagnostic Fee for all non-warranty visits to assess the condition of your appliance. This fee covers travel costs and the diagnostic service performed by our trained technicians. This fee is non-refundable but will be credited toward the repair cost should you agree to proceed with the recommended repairs.

Estimates and Payment Terms

An estimate provided in the Service Order will summarize the costs for parts and services required. Acceptance of the Service Order confirms your agreement to the scope of work and the price quoted, including applicable sales taxes. Full payment is due upon completion of the services and may be made via check or credit card. A fee of $25.00 will be charged for any dishonored checks or bank drafts.

Limited Warranty

We warrant that repairs, parts, and services provided will be free from defects in material and workmanship for thirty (30) days from the date of service or receipt of part. If a defect arises during this period, you must notify us in writing promptly. Our obligation is limited to replacing defective parts/workmanship or refunding the amounts paid for the services and parts.

Limitation of Liability

Lombard Appliance Repair, LLC will not be liable for any special, incidental, indirect, or consequential damages arising from breach of warranty, contract, negligence, or any other legal theory related to this agreement. Liability for damages is strictly limited to the amount paid by the customer, except in cases of personal injury.

Waivers of Liability

Several waivers apply concerning the risks associated with appliance repair:

Moving Appliances

You acknowledge the risks of moving appliances and agree to hold harmless our technicians and Lombard Appliance Repair, LLC from any damages that occur during movement.

Working with Water

You accept all risks associated with potential leakage or flooding from connected machinery and exempt our technicians and Lombard Appliance Repair, LLC from liability for any resulting damages, except in cases of gross negligence.

Failed Cooling Appliances

You understand the inherent risks in repairing refrigeration equipment, including the potential for food spoilage and associated losses, and agree that Lombard Appliance Repair, LLC bears no responsibility for these risks.

Lifting Glass Cooktops

You recognize the risk of damage when lifting glass/ceramic cooktops and agree to exempt Lombard Appliance Repair, LLC from liability for any breakage that may occur.

Entire Agreement

These General Terms and Conditions of Service and each individual Service Order constitute the complete agreement between Lombard Appliance Repair, LLC and the Customer, superseding all prior agreements.
